Sales and Strategy Manager (Sync)
SYNC LICENSING - LOS ANGELES
This is an LA-based position, ideal for an ambitious, relationship-driven self-starter looking to take their career to the next level with a fast-growing company based in Detroit.
You will work with clients to secure Assemble Sound recordings & supervision services in varied forms of media to bring in licensing revenue and promote artists, benefitting the overall company, including other marketing opportunities related to sync. This role will work and coordinate with the creative sync team as well as the label team.
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement strategies to grow Assemble Sound’s sync & custom revenue, focusing on high-value opportunities across film, TV, advertising, gaming, and digital media.
Client Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key industry players, including music supervisors, ad agencies, production companies, and music buyers.
Prospecting & Business Development:
Identify and target new business opportunities, drive outreach to prospective clients, and respond to incoming inquiries for music and bespoke services.
Market Intelligence:
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities. Share insights and feedback with the team to optimize offerings and sales tactics.
Brand Ambassador:
Represent Assemble Sound and its artists on the west coast and at key industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and expand presence in the sync space.
Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years of experience in sync licensing sales, music supervision, or music licensing within the entertainment industry, preferably in film, TV, advertising, gaming, or digital media.
Relationships: Established network of key players such as music supervisors, producers, ad agencies, and other relevant industry contacts.
Self-Starter: Entrepreneurial mindset; driven, self-directed, and resourceful.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present music & the Assemble Sound brand compellingly.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using DISCO, Google Workspace, and CRM tools.
Passion for Music: Genuine passion for music's role in visual storytelling and brand identity, with a desire to work with a diverse roster of independent and emerging artists.
